Spur of the moment lunch date at Aria Cucina Italiana

I couldn't sustain it any longer...I was seriously craving for Aria's famous Rucola e Pinoli! And so I dragged the boyfriend one sunny Saturday afternoon to have lunch at Aria Cucina Italiana's newly opened restaurant in High Street. My sister tagged along as well.

Here's a quick breakdown of what we had:

Aria Shake - Php 140
Rucola e Pinoli - Php 590
Cream sauce, mozzarella, fresh arugula and pine nuts
Gamberetti e Zucchine - Php 390
Shrimps and zucchini in lemon-pesto sauce
I requested the waitstaff to use penne or smaller noodles for the Gamberetti as I am not a fan of fettuccine. I was so glad they obliged, the pasta itself was cooked perfectly al dente! Now I know why a lot of people order this dish, it's really good and filling, plus the lemon adds a special twist to the usual pesto sauce.

Fettina di Manzo Alla Puttanseca - Php 540
Thinly sliced tenderloin beef flavored with garlic, capers, olives and tomatoes
I wasn't too happy about this dish, it reminds me of something my Mom makes at home.

Pansoti - Php 370
Homemade ravioli pasta stuffed with spinach and ricotta in a creamy sauce
Aria tris di dolci - Php 380
A medley of panna cotta, cream catalana and tiramisu
So there, a hearty meal indeed! My favorite is really the Rucola e Pinoli. If you're going to dine in Aria for the first time, I strongly suggest ordering that and the Gamberetti. Servings are usually good for two, although with my appetite, I can totally have the pizza and the pasta dish all for myself.

the boyfriend feeling so gwapo, haha
with my sister
While walking around High Street, I was really toying with the idea of my boyfriend and I having a photo under the vines of flowers. I thought it was cute, the boyfriend thought I was being silly. My sister was just the unwilling victim as she offered to take our photo via the iPad. And then this happened:

I bet he's thinking, "I'm so glad this ain't a mistletoe!"
Hahaha. Oh well, papel.
