Anyway, one of the products I received from the Glamourbox November box was the Eye of Horus Natural Macara which I've honestly never heard of before. Here's the description as lifted from the Glamourbox site:
If you’re after perfect natural mascara that won’t run, smudge or clump, Eye of Horus natural mascara is exactly what you are looking for. Formulated in the style of the ancient Egyptians, Eye of Horus mascara uses natural, non-irritating ingredients. Ideal for sensitive eyes and Eye of Horus Mascara strengthens and lengthens for ultimate Goddess lashes.
Being formulated with nourishing waxes, removal is easy with a cloth warmed with water as the heat melts the waxes, cleaning lashes, making it gentle on the eyes.
Ingredients: Carnauba wax, Beeswax, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Wax, Candelilla Wax, Stearic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Triethanolamine, Polyvinylalcohol crosspolymer, Iron Oxide (black), Water. Paraben Free
Price: Php 980
To clarify, a quick look at the ingredients list shows that the Eye of Horus mascara is not 100% natural but is rather mostly made of natural ingredients. But don't worry as it claims to be ideal even for sensitive eyes.
Off the bat, I really like the type of brush this mascara has. I've been always been leaning towards short, rubber bristles because for me they really help separate the lashes. My lashes are so thin that hey, I really need mascara to "plump" them up. The Eye of Horus mascara also claims that with prolonged use helps strengthen lashes and assist lash growth.

You can see from the photos above that my lashes on the right are considerably thicker and more defined. True to its claim, the mascara really does not smudge! I was wearing it during one of my crying fits (when I had a serious talk with someone who is now back in my life, sorry TMI!) and the mascara did not budge. It left tiny flakes under my eyes due to constant and vigorous tissue wiping but still no raccoon eyes. Impressive! I think it would work just as well as my favorite VMV Hypoallergenics mascara, except Eye of Horus employs rubber bristles. Also, my lashes are soft and not crunchy though the mascara (in my opinion) does not hold the curl well.
It's good to note that I experienced zero irritations and allergies during use so I would really recommend this for those who are seeking a somewhat "natural" mascara with lasting power and non-irritating ingredients. Just be prepared to really take some time to remove this before retiring for the night.
It's currently available via the Glamourbox site so head on over if you want to order!
