Here's how I looked like (straight hair and all) in 2010...
|see what I mean? I look so....neneng|
Fast forward to a Browhaus event in March of 2012, I got a free eyebrow threading and shaping. I loved the brow makeover but easily went back to my old ways the next day. A few months later, I got so tired of spending so much time in the morning and having to deal with the brow powder fading by afternoon that I decided to visit Browhaus again and take my eyebrows seriously. And the rest, is history.
Up to this day, I set an appointment every month like clockwork. My wayward/non-existent brows are well-shaped and what's more, it only takes me less than 5 minutes to fix my brows in the morning. My sister has also become a Browhaus convert, we even have our sessions together! Take note that your brows won't be perfect after one session. My brow specialist had to grow out hair in sparse areas and I had to wait 2-3 months so patience and consistence is key.
I pay Php 580/session for basic shaping and threading, and I only use the Shu Uemura Hard Eyebrow Pencil (Php 1,400) to shape and shade them.
So here's how my brows look like now:
I say, applying eyebrow pencil is now my favorite thing to do in the morning :) I highly recommend Browhaus for eyebrow grooming and Shu Uemura for shading and filling in brows as these two go hand in hand: it's easier to shade when your eyebrows are properly groomed and shaped to begin with because you only have to follow the arch; and it is also easier to color the brows because of the Shu Uemura's uniquely shaped tip. It's like drawing actual hairs therefore making the brows look natural. I also finish it off with a light brushing with Charm's spoolie brush.
So that's it for my favorite products and services of 2012 (check out Skin Savers to read the first half), I wonder which ones will make it to this year's list.
